Creators wanted a Nordic vibe for the restaurant and bar. They also knew they wanted to serve specialty pizza and quality beer with a focus on beer education. Finally, they wanted the atmosphere to evoke the sense of travel and escape. Picture coming in for a crisp beer and savory pizza after a day of skiing, warming up with friends in a fresh, comfortable atmosphere.
We took this concept and collaborated with Nordic’s visionaries to craft a strong, defined and compelling brand.
By taking the Nordic team through our in-depth brand strategy process, we explored and defined the business’s voice, tone, values and goals. During this process, we helped them outline their brand culture, brand pillars and value proposition. We also performed industry research and defined their audience to help steer the project. Once we completed these exploratory exercises, we were able to have a clear guide for defining Nordic’s brand.

Bozeman, Montana
Nordic is now a leader in the restaurant industry on Bozeman’s bustling west side. It is the premier brewpub and go-to lunch and dinner restaurant for locals and visitors alike.
We had to challenge the existing narrative surrounding brewpubs, building an idea from the ground up and create a brand that accurately tells Nordic’s story.
To provide a strong and compelling brand that would give the new business a distinct identity and set it apart from other Bozeman bars and restaurants.
In every aspect, we aimed to blend elements of warmth and coolness to create a unique space that evoked a Nordic vibe while remaining true to the authenticity of Bozeman.
Hardy facilitated a multi-phase brand launch that considered everything from employee-owner training to the ‘why pay more’ signs. The first step was to train all leadership staff on the new strategy. By providing consistent language, their leadership team has the tools to communicate the brand to all employee-owners and customers, utilize it in hiring, and lean on it for business decisions. To support the high level of service T&C is known for, we created talking points, rack cards, and tools that empower employee-owners to answer questions customers may have.
The Bridger Brewing team wanted to be prepared to can and distribute its beer after opening its second location. AMS partnered with Bridger Brewing for packaging design concepts. The first step in the packaging process involved a strategy session in which the unique identity of each beer was explored and dissected. Several concepts were then sketched out. Once a concept was selected for each beer, custom illustrations were created for cans and boxes. The result is a full lineup of beers, each with its own design that is unique while still clearly a member of the Bridger Brewing brand.
The longest line you’ll see comes from a reel.

“I came to Hardy Brands seeking branding for a unique restaurant concept. The aim was to distinguish ourselves from existing establishments by executing on specific standards and ideas and conveying a feeling of excellence. Hardy rose to the occasion and through its unique and thorough process delivered exactly what I was looking for. Communication was excellent, we never felt out of the loop or (were) unaware of the next step. The entire team made us feel valued and most importantly, heard. I would recommend Hardy without equivocation and have myself already begun the next project with this talented group of individuals.”
