Nestled in the heart of Big Sky, Montana, are the Yellowtail Residences. From their location, right next to the Big Sky Golf Course & Nordic Center, to all the fixtures, every aspect of the Residences has been intentionally designed. This includes their community-centric approach when it comes to ensuring surrounding mountains are visible and developing housing solutions for the "missing middle" of Big Sky.
The Yellowtail team came to Hardy to create a brand that would connect with their unique audience and then for help interpreting the strategy through brand execution. Through our brand strategy process, we identified that their potential buyers do not view Big Sky as only a travel destination, but a community they want to be a part of. By uniting their brand strategy with elevated visual elements, we created a brand that feels true to what Big Sky is now and where it is going in the next ten years.

The Yellowtail team is positioned with tools such as sales materials, advertising placements, and a website accompanied by a well-designed showroom to help sell the Residences.
Several existing communities in Big Sky cater to Yellowtail's niche clientele. The brand needed to feel familiar yet different from the existing communities while catering to their target market and not alienating the greater Big Sky community.
Develop a brand that will attract affluent individuals and families that value community and put a premium on lifestyle.
By drawing inspiration from art deco motifs in things like their iconic pattern combined with photography that emphasizes the invested and elevated nature of the brand, Yellowtail’s brand feels right at home in Big Sky.
Hardy facilitated a multi-phase brand launch that considered everything from employee-owner training to the ‘why pay more’ signs. The first step was to train all leadership staff on the new strategy. By providing consistent language, their leadership team has the tools to communicate the brand to all employee-owners and customers, utilize it in hiring, and lean on it for business decisions. To support the high level of service T&C is known for, we created talking points, rack cards, and tools that empower employee-owners to answer questions customers may have.
The Bridger Brewing team wanted to be prepared to can and distribute its beer after opening its second location. AMS partnered with Bridger Brewing for packaging design concepts. The first step in the packaging process involved a strategy session in which the unique identity of each beer was explored and dissected. Several concepts were then sketched out. Once a concept was selected for each beer, custom illustrations were created for cans and boxes. The result is a full lineup of beers, each with its own design that is unique while still clearly a member of the Bridger Brewing brand.
The longest line you’ll see comes from a reel.
